Effective Skincare Routine For Neck

For many of us, a regular skincare routine means applying skincare products on our faces and bodies. Many skincare products on the market are labeled “for face”, “for eyes” or “for body.” What about a skincare routine for our necks? Its’s possible to find some products that specifically indicate “for neck,” but they’re rare.

Our necks have thinner skin than our faces. The skin on our necks is easily stretched and frequently exposed to harmful UV rays. Therefore, it’s not surprising at all that our necks are one of the first areas to show the signs of aging.  Luckily, there are ways to improve the way your neck looks and it’s never too late to start! And if your neck already looks amazing (lucky you!), there are ways to extend the beauty of your skin. Here are a few tips that will help you create an effective skincare routine for your neck that will suit you the best:

4 Neck Skincare Tips

  1. Follow the same schedule. Take care of your neck when you take care of your face. No need to create a separate timeslot to pamper your neck. With this being said, wash your neck when you wash your face. If you wash your face twice a day, your neck should tag along.
  2. Use the same products for your neck. There is no need to invest in separate products that could be used only for your neck. Your serums and cremes for your face are just as good for your neck, unless you have very sensitive neck skin and can’t tolerate the same products. Let your neck enjoy the same most effective products, like Vitamin C serum 15-20% with Ascorbic acid, Retinols, Retinoids and others. Don’t forget the sunblock either. Use SPF 30 to 50 (as dermatologists recommend) and don’t forget to reapply every two hours when you’re outdoors.
  3. Face treatments include your neck! I can’t stress enough how important it is to continue your facial or skin treatment beyond your chin. Whatever it is, microdermabrasion, hydro dermabrasion with your Lucky Skin Hydro, micro needling, laser treatment or anything else, pamper your neck’s skin with the same care. The Lucky Skin Hydro is a great device for neck skin if properly used since it’s gentler than microdermabrasion. Keeping it on the lowest speed, it will gently exfoliate the neck’s skin. Once buildup on the skin is removed, the skin can absorb skin products more fully.
  4. Listen to your skin and the way it responds. Everyone’s skin is unique and it’s important to find the products and treatments that will suit your skin the best. What works for one may not work for you for various reasons and that’s okay. Finding the right products, incorporating them in your skincare routine and sticking with them is what will help you get the results that you are looking for.
